Anna Johnson, 86, of Pueblo, CO, formerly of Kearney died Friday, May 26, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Minden Cemetery. O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Anna Johnson was born on August 3, 1930 at Cozad, Nebraska to Charles and Minnie (Layher) Henke. She grew up in the Cozad and Lexington area.
Anna was united in marriage to Wesley Johnson on January 30, 1954 at Grand Island, Nebraska. After which the couple made their home in Kearney. Anna lived in Kearney for 64 years. She was employed by Walmart as a greeter for 13 years. She then moved to Pueblo, Colorado to be closer to family for the last two years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included gardening and doing crossword puzzles.
Anna is survived by her two sisters, Beverly Anderson of Pasco, WA and Bernice Boeckner of Pueblo, CO; four nephews; eight nieces; and four sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wesley; six brothers; one niece; one great niece; two nephews; and one great nephew.
