BERRIEN SPRINGS - Nels C. Nelsen, 78, of 147 Sunset drive, Berrlen Springs, died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday in Berrien Geoeral hospital , Berrien Springs, where be had been a patient one day.
Mr, Nelsen was bom Oct. 1, 1892, in Fox Creek, Neb., the sn of Soren and Karen Nelsen. He came to the Berrien Springs area in 1969, from Nashville, Tenn. Mr. Nelsen had, been associated with tbe Southem Publishing Association and the Revue and Herald Association until his retirement.
Surviving are his widow Esther; a son Loren E. of Bethesda, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Irene E. Hanson of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Evelyn M. Herwick of Washington, D. C., and Miss Shelia Ann Nelsen of Berrien Springs; four grandchidren; two brothers, Arthur of Bends, Oreg., and Carl of Wooster, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in tbe Paul E. Mayhew funeral home, Berrien Springs. Elder John A. Kroncke, pastor of the Pioneer Memorial church, Andrews University, of which Mr. Nelsen, was a member, will officiate. Burial will be held at 12 noon Monday at Ft. Lincoln cemetery, Washington, D. C.
