V. Dennis Millgard, 77, of South Lyon, passed away August 30, 2014. Dennis was born in Chicago, IL on March 3, 1937 to Emil and Margaret Millgard. In 1961, he married Nancy Rehling and moved to the Detroit, MI area where they started their family. In 1963, he started his own specialty deep foundation company called The Millgard Corporation. Throughout his life he was past president of Orchard Lake Country Club, past president of the Detroit Chapter of the Associated General Contractors as well as a member of several industry associations.
Beloved husband of Nancy for 53 years. Dearest father of R. Scot, Christine Millgard, Sue (Mike) Bonventre, Cheryl (Paul) Tobey and Lynn (Ryan) Tucker. Loving grandfather of Josh, Joe, Nick, Trevor, Michael, the late Anthony, Dennis, Zac, Adam, Tommy, Jeremy, Scoti and Morgan. Dear brother of Rich (Sharon), Helga Augun, the late Diane Van Haren and the late Lill Mauro. Loved by a world of nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday 2-8pm at McCabe Funeral Home TEMPORARY VISITATION CHAPEL at the Arboretum Conference Center, 34555 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. In State Saturday 9:30am until time of Service 10am at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 5631 N. Adams Rd., Bloomfield Hills. Entombment Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, Livonia.
