ALLIANCE -Emil Von Bargen, 89,died Wednesday,Oct.28,1992,at Box Butte General Hospital.
He was bom Aug. 19,1903,on the Box Butte County homestead of his parents, Henry and Anna (Donner) Von Bargen.
He had attended Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, and spent his life farming in the county.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and an amateur radio club.
He married Esther K. Nielsen in Alliance on Aug. 30, 1928. She sur vives at the home.
Also surviving is his daughter, Eleanor Von Bargen, Denver; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and
Christine, Lincoln; brothers, Carl of Alliance and Ott of Milwaukee,Wis.; sisters, Frieda Koester and Gertrude Koester, both of Alliance, and Dora Von Bargen of Milwaukee; and three grandchildren.
His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
A commital service will be held Saturday, Ocl 31, at 10 a.m. at the Hemingford Cemetery.
A memorial service willbe held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran with the Rev. Keith Christiansen officiating.
Memorials may be given to the church or a charity of the donor's choice.
Bates-Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

- Esther Katherine VonBargen, 93. died Tuesday. Manch 5. 2002. at Hghland Park Care Center.
She was born Dec. 4. 1908, at Denton to John M.N. and Elise (Stenberg) Nielsen. The family moved to Box Butle County in 1918.
She was a 1925 graduate of Alliance High School and taught at District 10.
On Aug. 30. 1928. she was married to Ernil Von Bargen at her parents' home.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She had an intense love of nature and was an amateur potter.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Ernestine Von Bargen of Lincoln; daughter Eleanor Von Bargen of Denver. Colo.; granddaughters and husbands Lisa Von Bargen and Kenneth Schwarz of Estes Park Colo.. Jill and David Leppert of Ballwin,Mo.. grandson Brian Von Bargen of Windsor, Colo.: and three great-grandsons.
Also surviving are a sister and husband, Gladys and Mearl Solberg of Loveland, Colo.. brother-in-law and wife, Roy and Sue Boyer of Greensburg. Kan.. sisters-in- law. Frieda Koester and
Gertrude Koester of Alliance, Dora Von Bargen of Milwaukee Wis, brother-in-law and wife Otto and Dorothy Von Bargen of Milwaukee: and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents. husband. sisters Mary Donovan, Edith Smith and Louise Boyer. and brother Chris Nielsen preceded her in death.
