Mark J. Madsen, 39, of rural Dallas Center died from complications of diabetes Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Urbandale, of which he was a member. Cremation will follow the service, and burial of the cremains will be at Elk Horn Cemetry.
Mr. Madsen, born in Desmoines, worked at the Bulk Mail Center in Urbandale and was a mebber of the National Wildlife Association.
Survivors include his parents, Alvin and Arlene Madsen, and a brother, Dean, all of Grimes; and two sisters, Lynda Rains of Grimes and Carolyn Rovner of Englewood, Colo.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Caldwell-Raddatz Urbandale Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Iowa.
