Agnes Karen Marie Sires Potts, 93, passed away peacefully at the Indianola Good Samaritan Nursing home on May 31,2008
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10.30 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa.
Agnes was born in Exira, Iowa on march 13, 1915, graduated from Elk Horn High School and continued her education at Iowa State to get her Teachers Degree. She later received her B.A. from Drake University-
.
Agnes married Harlin Sires May 30, 1941 and had two children, Terry and Sheila Sires. She taught first grade in the Norwalk School District for 25 years and lived in West Desmoines for 23 years.
On June 4. 1977, Agnes married Ezra Potts and moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. They were married 30 years.
Agnes is survived by her husband, Ezra Potts, sister Irene Boose; children Terry and Donna Sires, Sheila and Tom Reed, Dale and Marilyn Potts, Carl and Joan Baumgardner, Carol and Tyronne Fisher and Lola Potts, grandchildren, Ch.. Sires, Nathan and Tiffany Sires, Ryan Fisher, Carrie Ivans, Carmen and Michael Fox and Carla Potts; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
