Boris and Gleb (Old East Slavic: Borisu i Glebu; Russian: Boris i Gleb; Ukrainian: Borys i Hlib), Christian names Roman and David, respectively (Old East Slavic: Romanu, Davydu), were the first saints canonized in Kievan Rus' after the Christianization of the country. Their feast day is observed on July 24 (August 6).
